Does this work on my phone?
Almost certainly, in one way or the other. Most phones made in recent years read NFC tags by holding the card near the top of the handset, with no app and no setting to hunt for. If a phone will not tap — an older model, NFC switched off, or a locked-down work device — the QR code on the back does the identical job through the camera. That is why every card has both.
Does the person I hand it to need an app?
No. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, no account. They tap or they scan, a web page opens, and that is the whole interaction.
What is the 4-digit code for?
It binds a printed card to your account, once. Cards are printed before they belong to anyone, so the code is what turns a blank one into yours. Enter it the first time you tap your own card and then forget it — it is never needed again.
Can I change my links after the card is printed?
That is the entire point. The card carries a pointer, not a copy. Change your page as often as you want and every card you have ever handed out follows along the moment you save. Nothing you have printed ever goes out of date.
What if I lose the card?
Tell us and we will sort out a replacement. Your page and your links are on your account, not on the card, so nothing you built is lost with it.
Can I have my own design?
Yes — that is how most cards are made. Send a logo, a photo, brand colours, or an existing card you want matched. The QR on the back is then drawn to sit inside that design rather than on top of it.
Can you do cards for a whole company?
Yes. One design, printed across a team, with each card carrying its own code and opening its own page. Everybody edits their own and nobody edits anyone else's. Staff IDs with photos, departments and employee numbers work the same way.
Does the chip need charging or replacing?
No. An NFC chip has no battery. It is powered by the phone that reads it, which is why a card can sit in a drawer for years and still work.
Is the QR code just a black square?
No. Codes are generated in the colours of the card, with rounded modules and an eye style chosen to suit the design — and then tested with a real scanner before printing. A code that looks good and does not scan is not a code.
Who can see my page?
Anyone with the address, which is the same as any web page. That is what you want from something you hand to people. Only you can edit it.
What does it cost?
It depends on the design and how many you need — one card for yourself and two hundred staff IDs are not the same job. Tell us what you are after and we will come back with a straight number.
How long does it take?
Design first, then approval, then printing. Get in touch with what you have and we will tell you honestly where the queue is.
